INTERMAT 2012 - Bridgestone showed the completeness of its OTR tyre line-up

The eye-catcher on the Bridgestone stand (Hall 6, location F058) was the world’s largest off-the-road radial tyre, with a diameter of more than 4 meters. But behind this giant on the stand, Bridgestone demonstrated again the completeness of its off-the-road tyre offer with a selection of top performers, its latest new products, and an innovative new “OTR Elite” dealer label to guarantee customers the best service available.
On display from Bridgestone’s full range of off-the-road tyres for the mining, construction, highway services and port industries were:
- VJT for wheeled loaders, with minimal vibration for load-and-carry operations;
- The world’s largest OTR tyre, VRF 59/80R63 designed for giant 400-ton rigid dump trucks;
- VLTS for articulated dump trucks operating in the toughest quarry and mine conditions;
- VSW for operations in snow, with a new dimension 600/65R25 which has a larger contact patch for reduced ground damage;
- VCHR in size 16.00R25, Bridgestone’s latest OTR new product, for container handling vehicles: by minimizing noise and vibration, it enhances driving comfort;
- VSDT with extra-deep tread for superior traction in the most severe quarry conditions.
Also exhibited for visitors was Bridgestone’s new initiative to guarantee European customers the highest possible service standards: “OTR Elite”. Bridgestone awards this label to selected off-the-road tyre dealers who are trained, equipped and audited to provide the best advice and after-sales support, in order to optimize the performance and life of Bridgestone OTR tyres.
