We are enormously proud to help deliver what's to be one of the most efficient and sustainable games possible, for our athletes, the fans, and the host city. We are providing our products to all of the Tokyo 2020 fleet vehicles, plus thousands of our employees are volunteering to help too.
Advanced Earthquake Protection
In the extension of our rubber-expertise, Bridgestone is helping to ensure Earthquake-Ready Venues for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. We installed Seismic isolation technology in new permanent structures that will host swimming, diving, artistic swimming, volleyball and wheelchair basketball.Read more
Barrier-less bus access
Bridgestone is working with a collaborative group in Japan to develop a new kerbstone design that allows buses to pull closer to the kerb. The design of the kerb includes a specially-engineered slope that more smoothly interacts with the shape of the tyre to decrease tire sidewall wear and vibration.Read more
